In my opinion, iTerm is everything Terminal.app should be. The only thing I don’t like about iTerm is its icon. To compensate this, I decided to make an icon replacement. I really like the new Adobe Creative Suite 3 Icons … They look simple and neat. To make a long story short, here’s a CS3-styled iTerm icon free for download: Download iTerm.icns 41 KB
Installation
- Open your Applications folder and
CTRL-Click on iTerm.app.
- Select “Show Package Contents”.
- After the “iTerm”-folder has opened change into the “Contents”-folder, then into the “Resources”-folder.
- Find iTerm.icns and rename it to “iTerm.icns_bak” to have a backup.
- Copy the downloaded “iTerm.icns”-file into the “Resources”-folder.
- Restart iTerm.
Thanks. I don't like the original iTerm icon because it is hard to distinguish from all the other bluish icons.
Best regards,
-jay
